Middelfart sits at the narrowest point of the Little Belt, where beech forest, open meadows, and calm strait water meet between two bridges. It's one of the more quietly photogenic towns in the region -- the kind of place where the backdrop does the work without needing to search for it.

I travel to Middelfart for weddings, couples shoots and family sessions across the area. Hindsgavl Slot is the standout venue -- a neoclassical manor on a peninsula with a baroque castle park, Lillebælt views, a deer park, and converted barn and stable buildings that give a raw Nordic contrast to the formal halls. The Hindsgavl peninsula itself extends into open meadows and beech woodland running down to the strait, with free-roaming deer and steep slopes toward the water. For something more central, Gammel Havn frames both bridges across the water from the old harbour promenade.
