little about me

From Latvia to Kolding with a Camera

I'm originally from Latvia, now based in Kolding, Denmark, and somehow this quiet corner of the world feels right for the kind of photography I love.

I don't chase the grand gestures. I'm more interested in the moment just before, or just after. The couple wrapped in a blanket with their coffee. The grandparent watching from the corner. The kid who wandered off and found something interesting in the grass.

Being outdoors is where I work best, and honestly where I feel most like myself. The light is better, people relax, and the real moments happen without anyone trying.

If you're looking for someone to document your day honestly and without fuss, I think we'll get along just fine.

When I'm not behind the camera, I'm most likely chasing after my 9 month son, which, it turns out, is the best crash course in capturing moments before they vanish. I rewatch Friends more than I'd like to admit, split my weekends between city breaks and hiking trails, and somehow find time to get to the gym two or three times a week. Basketball and hockey are my sports, preferably watched live with a lot of noise.

How I work

What to expect on the day

I show up 10 to 15 minutes early, camera ready, no fuss. If we're shooting somewhere new, I'll visit beforehand or at least study the location so I already know where the light falls and where the best spots are.

On the day itself I read the room. Some people need a bit of direction to feel comfortable, others just need space to forget I'm there. Most people need a bit of both. I figure that out quickly and adjust.

I work alone. No second shooter, no assistant. Just me, which means less people in your space and a more relaxed atmosphere.

If you're coming from abroad and don't know Denmark, I'll suggest locations based on what you're after. Castles, coastline, forests, city streets. I know what works and I'm happy to guide that conversation before we even meet.

Before the shoot, if you want a call to talk through details or just get comfortable before the day, I'm always up for that.

Sounds like a good fit?

No commitment, no pressure. Just tell me a bit about your day and I'll get back to you within 48 hours.
